4-H Celebrates 2014 Provincial Winter Fair

Provincial Winter Fair is almost upon us …. just a week to go!! The traditional 4-H event is being held at the North Thompson Fairgraunds, Barriere, BC.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Beef Carcasses go directly to Rainer Custom Cutting ~ Darfield BC for processing and hanging prior to the fair (No Weighing Equipment Provided)

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER, 24, 2014
After 4:00 PM – 4-H Clubs May Set-Up Stalls & Stall Decorations
ALL DAY – Contributors May Drop Off Camping Trailers (see Camping Map for designated Club &/or Open Division’s section)

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER, 25, 2014

8:00 AM – No animals in their stalls prior to 8:00 AM (No feed or water prior to weighing)
– Set up 4-H Educational displays for judging Agriplex Annex ~ Deadline for set-up is Friday at 8:30AM for judging!

12 PM – 7:00 PM – Outdoor Food & Commercial Vendors May Set Up

2 PM – 6 PM – Weighing of All Beef Projects, Beef Ring

2 PM – 6 PM – Weighing of ALL LAMBS PROJECTS, including Carcass, Lamb Ring

6:00 PM – All LAMB & BEEF Projects must be in barn/stalls

6:30 PM – All RABBITS to be in their cages ~ Rabbit Barn

7:00 PM – LAMB – 4-H judging of Carcass Class (Live Portion), Lamb Ring
-PHOTOGRAPHY – Leaders Meeting in Agriplex Annex

8:00 PM – Senior 4-H MEMBERS meeting, Beef Ring
– BEEF Leaders Meeting (Beef Ring)
– All 4-H HORSES to be in their stalls
