The 2012 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) will be taking place in the village of Roseville, Ontario September 18-22. Now in its 99th year, this highly anticipated event will be home to over 550 exhibitors in the tented city – showcasing unique items over the course of the 5 day event.
The event will also include the ever-popular daily plowing competitions and ‘Queen of the Furrow’ competition as well as an old fashioned ‘barn raising’, the West Coast Lumberjack Show, Dodge Rodeo, Square Dancing Tractors, Aim Hi Canines Speed and Agility Dog Show, and a Reminiscence Journey celebrating the founding cultures of the Waterloo region. Compliments Food Tent presented by Sobey’s and Foodland with a daily speaker and demonstrations, Lifestyles tent also with a daily speaker and other activities, antique and historical displays, Hydro One Education centre featuring activities for all ages and daily entertainment on two stages. You can buy cook book or a ticket on a lottery for a skidoo or quad, or bid on a beautiful antique style quilt.
This year BMO Bank of Montreal is joining with IPM to announce the Ontario Farm Family awards, where ten distinguished Ontario farm families will be honoured on September 22nd.
There are 1850 RV sites available with 1770 of them serviced and 85 nonserviced. Daily rates for the RV Park, including 2 – IPM admissions are: $80 for a serviced site and $55 for non-serviced. Weekly serviced site rates are $350 for 25’x40’, $400 for 30’x45’; and $250 for a 25’x40’ non-serviced site.
